The summer solstice begins on Wednesday June 21. If you can, go outside at dawn and greet the morning sun. Put your favorite crystals out on your altar or window ledge and let them soak up the fresh new energy of the coming summer. If you are looking for love, burn a red or pink candle. Red is best for passion while pink attracts unconditional love. For those with money problems, burn a green candle. Tie three Chinese coins with a red string on the inside handle of your front door to attract vibrations of good luck and abundance. Make up a short affirmation about what you want to happen over the summer and say it three times. Don’t forget to thank the universe for all the good energy it has brought you.
If you miss the solstice, you can take advantage of the new moon energies on Sunday June 25. This is also a good time for lighting candles and charging crystals.
ARIES: Nine of Pentacles
Women: You are a self-made woman. You earn your own money in whatever way you can and you will buy yourself a nice trinket or two. Reflect on your goals and your business this month, you may be able to expand your income. Stop and smell the roses once in a while. Men: Your lady is independent and if you are single, you will meet a strong willed woman. Indulge her with flowers and dinners and take your time getting to know her.
TAURUS: King of Pentacles
Business is key priority for Taurus this month. Creativity abounds and there is opportunity to expand your business or start a new one. The money is there but you have to work hard to get it. Don’t be overly sensitive this month; no one likes a whiney baby. Be strong and generous and see where it gets you. You may have to deal with a male authority figure or some issues surrounding your father. Women: Your male lover is being stubborn and wants to be pampered. Men: Don’t be a closed-minded suck.
GEMINI: The Lovers
Gemini loves to love. Gemini loves to fall in love, loves the idea of love, but many Geminis aren’t too hot at keeping love alive. The problem with some Geminis is that they have that wandering eye, the fear of settling down, that Peter Pan complex of not wanting to grow up and take responsibility. Gemini needs to pay attention to partnerships this month whether it’s in love or work. The more responsibility you take, the easier things will be for you. Being committed to a partnership will not mean you are chained or caged or have your wings clipped. You can still be yourself if you are with the right person.
CANCER: Five of Swords
There are a lot of changes in store and things may be moving quickly, far too quickly for Cancer. You don’t have a lot of time to make decisions and this will make you get snappy and irritable. You don’t have the patience to deal with idiots and you don’t have time to sort out who the instigators are. You end up on a blind date with a socially awkward dweeb. You may be too picky and end up in a bunch of stupid squabbles. Sometimes it doesn’t pay to have the last word.
LEO: Three of Swords
Leo is larger then life in many ways. You live large, you love large and you get your heart broken large. Don’t let past heartbreaks color your future prospects. Everyone is different. You may have a rude awakening this month and there may be a break up, divorce or marriage meltdown. All you can do is pick yourself up and try again. Learn from your mistakes. That person you have your eye on may not be interested. Keep hunting, things will get better.
VIRGO: Six of Swords
Virgo could sure use an attitude adjustment. Despite what you may think, you don’t know everything about everything and you may not always be the ideal person for the job. Don’t be surprised if there is a move this month, including a lover moving away…from you. Whatever happens, the universe is clearing a path for better things ahead. You need to see things in a positive light and take a chance. That person you want to ask out may very well say yes.
LIBRA: Eight of Cups
Stop being such a drama queen. So things aren’t going your way, big deal. Don’t drown yourself in booze, but don’t be averse to having a little drink to take the edge off either. Just because no one can read your mind doesn’t mean that everything is a big downer. In fact, if you go on a trip, a vacation, even a walk by the lake or in the woods, you may put enough space between yourself and your problems that you will find new ways to cope. If you are in a relationship, take a few moments to yourself to think. If you are single, try a new strategy. Those tired old pick up lines just aren’t working.
SCORPIO: Two of Swords
Are you torn between two lovers? Do you have some decisions to make? Do you have some “splaining” to do to someone? Well, putting it off will help no one, that much is guaranteed. Figure out what is fair. Figure out how YOU would like to be treated. The best way to deal with this situation that you don’t want to deal with is quickly. Don’t hem and haw. Don’t hedge your bets. Make a decision and stick to it. People will respect you more.
SAGITTARIUS: Nine of Wands
You are bursting with creativity, sexuality and aggression. You can’t wait to get back into the battlefield. You may end up meeting up with or even reconciling with an old lover. You may want to see where things would go this time. You may have to work hard to get the attention of a new lover. You need to be true to your word so that people will trust you. Expect a bit of resistance in the arena of love this month, but perseverance will get you everywhere.
CAPRICORN: Five of Wands
You may find it tough to get people to listen to you this month. If you are in a relationship, expect some moments where you aren’t working together as a team towards common goals. If you are single, you may find you have to have a few dates with different people before you click with someone in particular. Don’t worry, this difficult time will pass. It’s a matter of harnessing all that aggression and sexual energy for good. Be patient and you may be able to get your way.
AQUARIUS: Justice
You’d better hope that you’ve been as honest and forthright as you claim you’ve been in your relationships, because everything is about to catch up with you. Don’t be surprised if you have to go to court over something, such as divorce, custody issue or other matter. If you are signing any legal documents, check the fine print. You never know if someone is trying to scam you. If you’ve been a good girl or boy, you should have a great month. If you’ve been lazy or a liar, heads are going to roll!
PISCES: Six of Cups
Pisces often wallows in nostalgia and this month will be full of it. You will get a blast from the past by phone, email or letter. Will it be an old lover? A high school friend? Maybe that kid you used to baby-sit? You will be pulling out the old videos and photograph albums to catch up on your past. There may be a school or family reunion. Don’t forget, it’s been shown over and over again that history does in fact repeat itself so bear that in mind when you’re jumping into relationships.
